Theatre Rental

Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, some restrictions may apply to rentals, dependent on the guidance of local & state governments along with the CDC. These may affect capacity and require social distancing & masks, among other precautions. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this.

From its original beginnings from 1948 – 1963, The Lyric Theatre was called ‘the place to see and be seen’. With our intensive remodel and reopening in 2010, the historic Lyric Theatre is even more of a sight to behold.

With our 526 seat theatre, extensive technical equipment, experienced technical & customer service staff, and flexible rental structure, The Lyric Theatre is the perfect rental venue from professional touring acts to local or first time performers.

Rent for the hours you need.

At The Lyric Theatre, we understand that each event – be it a stage play, concert, or conference – is unique. Because of this, we want to be as flexible as possible to your needs, allowing you to rent the space for the hours you need*.
Our hourly structure includes commercial and nonprofit pricing, to ensure we are as accessible as possible to any and all renters.

Let our technical staff get you set up.

Here at The Lyric, we have an experienced, in house technical staff that has worked countless concerts, live performances, presentations, and festivals. Best of all – they are included in your hourly rental rate*.

Along with technical staff inclusion, our hourly rate also includes access to our expansive sound & lighting equipment, so you can come in to your rental with full tech, sound, and light – plug and play.

We’ll take care of the ticketing & popcorn.

Along with our talented tech staff, The Lyric handles all ticketing through our box office*. With online, phone, and walk up ticket purchasing options, along with daily direct customer service for inquiries on your event, we got you covered at no extra charge to you*.

When the night of your event comes, our Lyric Event & Volunteer staff will be taking care of everything from selling tickets to making the popcorn, so you are able to fully focus on enjoying your event.

Hear from our renters.

Don’t just take it from us, hear from a few of our frequent renters on their experience at the historic Lyric Theatre.

‘We have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the Lyric Theatre for 7 years. In that time over 60,000 have attended WoodSongs broadcast tapings on Monday evenings, and thousands more have attended Troubadour Concerts. Everyone from Robert Cray to Kenny Loggins, Roger McGuinn to the Indigo Girls, the BB King Blues Band to the The Wailers, Tommy Emmanuel to artists from across the globe all love the venue. The staff has always been attentive, helpful, friendly to the audience and very accommodating to our productions. Plenty of parking, a wonderful neighborhood, and one of the best sounding concert halls in the state.’

‘The beautiful and historic Lyric Theatre is an amazing venue, from the exciting look as you approach from outside to the spacious and art-filled lobby to the absolutely gorgeous room of the main theater. The stage and sound and lighting is top-flight and the house crews are fabulous to work with. The Lexington Music Awards came in for our inaugural show in 2014 and have worked with Tim and his staff every year since – always a wonderful and positive experience, and it is in great part due to them that our annual show continues to grow. I cannot recommend The Lyric any more highly. In my 35+ years in the music & entertainment industry, I have rarely had such a positive working relationship or played/produced in such a beautiful venue. The experience is quite remarkable and, I would add, unparalleled.’
