NOW HIRING: Event Assistant (Part Time)
The Lyric is looking for a driven, personable candidate to join our team as an Event Assistant! The Event Assistant position deals with after hours coordinating of our ongoing schedule of rentals, including concerts, plays, performances, weddings, parties, and more. This position requires an energetic, dedicated, and customer service minded person to help look after the needs of our facility as well as the needs of the client. Position is part time, varying from 0 – 30 hours per week. Hours will fall between 5:00 pm – 12:00 am weeknights (usually Thursdays & Fridays) and 8:00 am – 12:00 am weekends (Saturdays & Sundays), varying depending on week to week event schedule.
What We Expect of Applicants/Responsibilities:
-High School Graduate, GED, or Equivalent.
-4+ Years in Customer Service.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Google Drive.
-Comfortable and capable with technology.
-Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding work environment.
-Good and respectful communication skills with patrons, coworkers, and superiors.
-Availability to work nights and weekends.
-Ability to lift/move 50 lbs (mainly setting up/breaking down tables, chairs, Lyric equipment for events).
-Able to meet weekly with Operations Manager to discuss upcoming events, review contracts, understand requirements needed to keep customers happy.
-Working the Box Office and concession stand.
-Clerical/administrative duties for reporting event statistics.
*Experience with ticketing software (Tix.com, etc.) a plus.
*Experience in rental facilities a plus.
*Education in Hospitality Management, Arts Admin a plus.
Salary: $10.00 per hour for 90 day screening & training period, after which increased to at most $11.25 per hour.
Currently, as required by city mandate, customers & employees are required to wear masks in the facility.
